Paediatric First Aid

Paediatric First Aid is a two day ‘blended’ course (one day online and one day face-to-face). It covers emergency situations that may occur when looking after young children and infants.

What will I learn?

Who is the Paediatric First Aid course for?

This course is designed for people caring for young children or infants. This includes people working in nurseries, pre-schools, clubs for children, childminders and carers of children at home.

How long will the course take?

The Paediatric First Aid (Blended Course) is made up of one day of online learning and one day of guided learning with our instructor, which will be delivered in one day unless an alternative arrangement has been discussed and agreed. Our courses generally run from 9:30am – 5pm in our office near Beccles, on the Norfolk and Suffolk border, however this can be delivered at times and locations to suit your shift patterns or peak working period.

The online section of the course should take a day to complete; however modules can be completed at your own pace at home. The online training must be completed within the 6 weeks before your face-to-face training.

What else should I know?

To ensure you get the most effective learning experience, learners must be physically able to participate. We limit group sizes to 6 attendees to provide the best learning experience for all.

On successful completion of the course, the participant will receive a Paediatric First Aid certificate which is valid for three years. This course meets the requirements specified by the Health and Safety First Aid Regulations 1981.

The Paediatric First Aid course meets the requirements of the Ofsted Early Years and Childcare Register.
